Goldfish, exhibited during a residency in Taipei, featured live-action images of two swimming goldfish projected onto the foliage of trees growing in the central courtyard of a café. After sunset, the goldfish appeared as if they were swimming inside the leaves. The movements of the goldfish that wavered intermittently due to the uneven surface of the leaves and the gaps in between them also caused them to appear like naked flames, staining the leaves red – as if turning a portion of them into bright autumn foliage – and making them light up.
